The characterization of employees as Human Assets has important implications for the Strategic Management of Human Resources in that it allows us to consider HR from an investment perspective. We believe that developing an effective strategy to manage an organization's human assets requires considering employees as investments. Hence such an approach helps us to ensure that HR practices and principles are clearly in sync with the Organization's overall strategy, forces the organization to invest in its best opportunities, and ensures that performance standards are met.
